Diocesan Prayer Calendar

Welcome to the Prayer Calendar for the Diocese of Rochester, in which schools and school leaders and included.

A shared calendar of prayer is one of the many small ways we can keep a sense of being a diocesan family and I hope you will find this useful in your prayer networks.

The Anglican Communion cycle of prayer is now included here and is also tweeted separately at @ACOffice and posted on PrayerMate. Similarly prayers from the World Council of Churches (WCC) are tweeted at @WCCprayers and on the PrayerMate app.

Also you may wish to join https://www.churchofengland.org/our-faith/light-candle In its current form, the calendar has two cycles: Parish and School.

The Parish cycle includes all those who are licensed to serve in that Parish.

The School cycle includes any church schools attached to the parishes we pray for.

When parishes have a link set up with another parish in a Companion Diocese, we also include them in our prayers. Sunday entries cover Clergy and Lay Ministers with PTO on rotation, the deaneries, archdeaconries, companion dioceses and some of the bigger pictures in our Diocese (sometimes geographical, sometimes issues or activities). These are usually simply one or two lines of text, but occasionally have fuller entries.
