Virtual Learning

We endeavour to provide for our schools in every way we can by offering  training and support for staff and governors to assist with your continued professional development.

The diocesan team is able to offer two types of service to schools:

• Bespoke – A DBE officer will work you to identify the specific training you need and tailor a package of support for your school. If you require training, we will discuss your requirements and deliver the training at a time that suits you
• Scheduled training from our Training Brochure – details of our regular courses can be found in our training brochure each year and the updates for the summer term

We have developed a blended approach to our training offer, with some virtual sessions and some offered in-person.  This decision was made as a result of feedback from our schools and other partners who have said that there are benefits from both sorts of meetings.  For virtual training, there is less travel, no need to find parking and so time is saved.  However, there is much to gain from in-person interaction and the networking that comes from being in the same room together.
