Virtual Learning

We endeavour to provide for our schools in every way we can by offering  training and support for staff and governors to assist with your continued professional development.

The diocesan team is able to offer two types of service to schools:

  • Bespoke – A DBE officer will work you to identify the specific training you need and tailor a package of support for your school. If you require training, we will discuss your requirements and deliver the training at a time that suits you
  • Scheduled training from our Training Brochure – details of our regular courses can be found in our training brochure and the updates for the summer term

The only key difference is that until further notice we will be delivering our training virtually. The team are highly skilled and can deliver high quality interactive training through a range of digital platforms including Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Feedback from recent virtual training and support sessions has been overwhelmingly positive, with many delegates requesting further support and training in this format.

Despite reservations about not meeting in person there have been some benefits of virtual training such as:

  • Less travel
  • No problems parking
  • Access to some training and presentations at a time that suits you
  • Virtual sessions are planned to ensure the experience is as interactive as possible

We recently sent a Training Update document to all schools and this can also be found on our website (link). Our new training brochure will be with you in the summer term so that you can plan for the next academic year. All of the training featured in the booklet can be delivered virtually – although there will be some tweaks made to timings.
