General information

St Nicholas Church is an old disused Church situated next to Rochester Cathedral and is located very close to the High Street, with its wealth of restaurants and shops. It is situated opposite the Castle with its lovely grounds. The Diocesan Office house about 30 staff who serve the parishes in the Diocese, through Ministry & Training, Finance, Surveying, Communications and Education.

Car parking

There are various car parks based within easy walking distance of St Nicholas Church. An all day car park is situated in Corporation Street and some short stay car parks are close by.

Disabled facilities

The entrance into the building has no steps and access to all meeting rooms (one based on each floor) is accessible by a lift. There is a disabled toilet on each floor.


St Nicholas Church has 3 comfortable meeting rooms. Two are small rooms which can house about 10 people and the third meeting room is in the Chancel and can hold about 40 seated around tables or 50 – 60 theatre style. There is an OHP screen and a PA system is also present. A data projector can also be used in this room easily. There is a kitchen situated on each floor with ample cutlery and crockery for use at all meetings.
